Faisalabad ( ) In Pursuance of directions of IGP Punjab Dr Usman Anwar, crackdown against notorious drug peddlers and addicts is being carried out in Region Faisalabad. RPO Faisalabad Dr Muhammad Abid Khan said while giving the details about the action taken against narcotic dealers. Moreover, he told that as many as 391 cases have been registered against the Narcotic dealers. Further, elaborated that Faisalabad registered 163, Jhang registered 72, T.T.Singh 79 and Chiniot registered 77 cases in the recent campaign since 23-08-2023. However, 10 cases were registered U/S 9/A, 79 cases U/S 9-B, 141 cases U/S 9-C and 161 cases U/S ¾ PHO.
The offensive against drug peddlers is continuous and no one is above law. He said.  While talking about the rehabilitation efforts, the addicts are being sent to rehabilitation centers for their cure and correction. Dr Muhammad Abid Khan said that abuse of drugs is growing menace to society.  The youth is the future of society. There is a zero tolerance against the drug peddlers and no one will be spared in the movement to extirpate the scourge of narcotics.
